Apple: 1987
Although I’m still a bit disappointed with the much anticipated announcement of the iPhone 4s, this video is pretty interesting. The video was created back in 1987 and is predicting something very similar to the new Siri “Intelligent Assistant” that is on the iPhone 4s. What makes it not as exciting to me is the fact that this technology has already existed on other devices. Perhaps Apple will take the technology further and it will be more intuitive and more intelligent and actually work the way people want/expect it to.
I still wonder if this will still be as practical and amazing once the novelty of it all wares off. Like a new toy on Christmas that you unwrap and play with non stop for a couple days and then it gets lost in your toy box until it ends up at Goodwill looking for a new home.
Only time will tell.
